VARIOUS – AT A TANGENT Vol. 8
Vol. 8 in the AT A TANGENT series turns its attention to the development of the New Orleans style bands on the UK Traditional Jazz scene between the late 1940s and 1963. The early pioneers led by Ken Colyer laid the foundations based on the revival in the USA around Bunk Johnson and George Lewis. After a while a subset started to develop with younger musicians looking at what was happening in New Orleans at the time. This CD charts this development with many rare and previously unissued tracks.
